In the book Roadmap to Success, co-authored with Be Legendary Founder and CEO James Carter, Ken Blanchard and Deepak Chopra, James lays our the foundation for discovering the mindset that every legendary person has shared. Mindset shapes our existence, yet we rarely stop to think about it.

Our subconscious acts in many ways just like a computer operating system. We have programs that are running in the background that literally create world around us:
- what we see,
- what we hear,
- what we think,
- how we respond,
- how we communicate,
- how we make decisions,
- how happy we are and much more.
‘Applications’ such as different leadership styles, delegation, communication styles are then ‘installed’ by each of us to help us navigate better in the world and streamline our day. We attempt different productivity solutions, gratitude efforts or some other personal or professional development application, only to find ourselves frustrated when they don’t work. The problem is not the new solution. Most of the time it is your subconscious, your ‘operating system’. Yet, we believe it is the solution and not us.
Just like trying to put an iphone app on an android phone, the application just doesn’t quite work right, if at all. This creates inauthenticity – something ‘just isn’t right’ – yet you cannot quite understand why and what is happening. You see this in other people as well – very nice, technically a good leader but you just don’t quite trust them. It is because their operating system and applications don’t mesh.

Fees
James’ rates vary based on location, group size, desired results and allotted time. Fees begin at $7,500.
Special consideration will be made for educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and charitable fundraising events. If you would like to have James speak at your next event, Please call Melissa Kahn at 800-513-8759 Ext 333.
A 50% deposit is required, along with a signed agreement which then secures your date. Remaining amount is due on or before the date of the presentation.
Travel
Outside of the Denver metro area, James requires round trip coach airfare, ground transportation and lodging, ideally as close as possible to the event. For events and conferences within a two hour driving distance from Denver, transportation costs will be included in the speaking agreement. International engagements require business airfare.
James typically arrives the day before the event to meet with organizers and survey the facility. Depending on the time of the presentation, a second night may also be required.
Room and Setup Requirements
In order to put on the very best presentation possible, please ensure the following items are provided:
- LCD Projector capable of displaying 1024 x 768 or better resolution.
- Speakers or RCA connection with 1/8″ headphone input.
- Wireless lavalier microphone, depending on the size of the room.

James’ speaking reel is not available at the moment. We realize how important this is and are working feverishly to create a legendary representation of his speaking.
